Integrity Malts: Ardmore 2015 PX Sherry Quarter Cask [9y10m Cask Update]
Published 12 May 2025

Integrity Malts have been very busy in the background recently. Not only have they developed a new look and feel for their bottles, they've been finessing their brand story, positioning and messaging before launch. Part of this process also involved obtaining professional tasting notes for their bottles prior to launch.
Here are their thoughts on the Ardmore 2015 Pedro Ximenez 57.2%
Nose: Burnt fruitcake earthy peat smoke, cherry jam, shrivelled raisins and thick date sweetness. Notes of spiced pastry and Eccles cakes build, alongside brown sugar, cold cast-iron stoves and coal dust. Cherry menthol freshness develops with a touch of briny sea breeze.
Palate: Mint and menthol lead a charge into rich fruitcake and dark earthiness. The smoke has a medicinal edge as well as a touch of smoked ham and woody bonfires. Freshness builds, with smouldering mintyness floating on top: mint choc chip, mint fondant, and smouldering mint and pine leaves. Sweet cherry bubble-gum notes build.
Finish: Mint fondant and cherry bubble-gum fade slowly, joined by wood smoke and dark liquorice.
This cask bottles in the Autumn so grab a share in this fantastic cask at a great price whilst you can.
Cheers,
The Still In Cask Team
