Integrity Malts: Royal Brackla 2013 PX Cask [12y Cask Update]
Published 12 May 2025

Integrity Malts have been very busy in the background recently. Not only have they developed a new look and feel for their bottles, they've been finessing their brand story, positioning and messaging before launch. Part of this process also involved obtaining professional tasting notes for their bottles prior to launch.
Here are the official tasting notes for the Roya Brackla 2013 Pedro Ximenez 59.5%
Nose: Snickers-bar toffee and nuts with rich Eccles cake raisin, maraschino cherry and plump sultanas. Baking spice and dark fruit cake build, along with marshmallow fluff sweetness, grainy biscuits and chocolate – Tunnock’s teacakes in a glass.
Palate: Surprisingly soft, despite the strength, with a rich and chewy texture: tastes like toffee, feels like toffee. The sweetness from the nose continues but backed up by darker savoury notes: singed casks, burnt toast, dark rye bread and molasses.
Finish: Rich brown sugar, molasses and treacle toffee linger, sotted with flashes of dark spice.
This cask bottles in the Autumn so grab a share in this fantastic cask at a great price whilst you can.
Cheers,
The Still In Cask Team
